Your Local Health Care Commissioners (Integrated Care Board)
West Essex & Hertfordshire Integrated Care Board (ICB, formerly known as CCG) is the organisation responsible for Commissioning (planning, designing and paying for) our NHS services.
The ICB is made up of local GPs and health professionals, working together with other clinicians and patients, to decide how the local NHS budget should be spent The ICB’s role is to join up health and care services, improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. They have a budget of around £2.8 billion, for the 1.5 million people who live in this area. The budget is set by NHS England.
