NHS App - Requesting Medication
If you are unable to request your medication through the NHS App, this may be because a medication review is due.
Please submit your request instead via the practice website. This ensures your request is received safely and allows the clinical team to review it appropriately, and let you know the next steps.
Important: Telephone Requests
Prescription requests cannot be taken by telephone, except in exceptional circumstances where this has been agreed in advance with your GP.
We kindly ask that you do not request reception staff to make exceptions to this policy.
Medication Reviews
A medication review is an important check‑in with our clinical team to make sure your medicines are still safe, effective, and right for you. During the review, the clinician will look at how well your medication is working, discuss any side effects, and check whether any monitoring tests (such as blood tests or blood pressure readings) are needed.
If you do need a blood test, our team will contact you to arrange this. Please continue to request your medication as normal in the meantime. This ensures you do not run out while we organise any tests or appointments required.
Thank you for helping us keep your care safe and up to date.
