Tests, Results, Clinics & Services

Test & Results

To get your test results, you can view them online in the NHS App or telephone us on 01279 657636 after 2pm.

The receptionist will tell you what message the doctor has recorded. The reception team are unable to interpret the results themselves. If you do not understand the doctor’s message please ask the receptionist to arrange a telephone call from the doctor or nurse.

We receive hundreds of investigation results a week and do not routinely contact patients with their results, though we would endeavour to do so if a result was seriously abnormal.

Please ensure that you inform the surgery if you change any contact details, especially telephone numbers

Patients should allow one week after having their test before contacting the surgery for the results. This allows time for the results to reach the surgery and for a GP to to review and comment on the result.

If you have online access to your records, you can now see your results online once they have been reviewed by a clinician. Please see our page regarding Online Services

For investigations ordered by a consultant, hospital or specialist centre, you will need to contact the service to obtain the results. We do not receive electronic copies of results ordered or arranged by other organisations.

Treatment Room Services

The treatment room nurses carry out many procedures including; blood tests, ear syringing, injections, blood pressure checks, dressing of wounds.

Patients are referred to the treatment room by the doctor or Practice Nurse. Patients will be assessed for suitability and eligibility by a health care professional before receiving treatment, such as ear irrigation.

Due to high demand for some services, the practice operates a waiting list service. Patients may be added to a waiting list for some treatments or tests and will be contacted in due course.
