Viral Illnesses

There are a lot of viral illnesses such as coughs, colds and sore throats about at the moment. It is worth knowing that antibiotics only work with bacterial infections and do not help with viruses. Viral infections may cause symptoms for two weeks or so, and you should visit the pharmacy for advice, guidance and over the counter medicines before contacting your GP.
