Changes to Prescription Ordering
Important: Important Notice for Patients
To help ensure prescription requests are received safely and processed accurately, we will no longer accept routine prescription requests submitted by pharmacies via email.
With immediate effect, any routine prescription requests received from pharmacies will be rejected and will not be processed by the practice.
How to order your medication
Patients should order their own repeat medication using one of the approved methods:
- Online via our website (preferred method)
- Using the NHS app or other approved online service
- Filling out a paper request at one of our branches
Exemptions
We understand that some patients may be unable to manage their own prescription ordering. For this reason, we will continue to accept prescription requests from pharmacies on behalf of patients who are:
- Housebound
- Living with dementia
- Have a learning disability
- Living with a serious mental illness
- Otherwise identified as vulnerable and unable to order their medication independently
Need help?
If you are unsure how to order your medication online or think you may qualify for an exemption, please contact the practice and a member of our team will be happy to help.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
